Easy to make light of pick pockets until it happens to you. It is not just about the risk and potential cost of your wallet contents or phone but the effort to reinstate what you had without loss.
Pickpockets are low scum preying on the gullable and vulnerable. It needs to be highlighted where they are operating to increase vigilance and make the risk unacceptable.
