They need to stop talking about Robinho, it's getting ridiculously obsessive now.
Robinho will leave Manchester City unless they keep up their summer spending spree, according to the president of his former club Santos. Gareth Barry joined Mark Hughes' Eastlands revolution for £12million and the City boss says more will follow, but Marcelo Teixeira reckons Santos can lure their prodigal son back to Brazil.Robinho had an inconsistent debut season in England and the 25-year-old will have a holiday in his homeland to think through his options.
A return to Brazil has been touted, but Santos president Teixeira says any deal will be difficult to thrash out.
"We are in permanent contact with Robinho, but the situation is tough financially. The will of both parties [to do a deal] is not enough," Teixeira said.
"If City fulfil their promise of signing big players, Robinho will stay there because he dreams of becoming the world's best player.
"If that does not happen, I think Santos will have the chance to bring him back."
