"I returned to Rome from Manchester and I'm not going to move again," Pizarro told Il Romanista.

"I had no intention of leaving AS Roma even in January, but I had a bad relationship with Luis Enrique and then when Mancini called I accepted. It was all very sudden.

"Now, I'm going on vacation and then I'll return to Rome.

"I hope to finish my European career at AS Roma, I still have a one-year contract and I'm very motivated."

"When we were under United in the table no-one expected us to recover," he added.

"Mancini always asked me advice, referring to the 2010 Serie A championship, when Roma recovered so many points to Inter Milan.

"Because of my experience he wanted me to give a hand."

Say what you will about him, but he was full of class on the pitch and I had hoped he would join us permanently.

Wish we could have seen more of him but understand Mancini didn't want to take too many risks near the end. He showed some real class in his appearances and we could really use another player with his sort of vision from somewhere.

I fell out of love with him against Sporting Lisbon at home. Got a start yet tried pinging too many long diagonal balls then was rightly taken off.

Decent playmaker but wouldn't have kept him.

I liked him. I loved his style of play.

His appearance off the bench against Sunderland proved crucial in the end!

All the best, David!
