PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

the tagline will be that city beat it on a technicality because of their high price legal team rather than the actual truth which is there no was case to answer and the charges were spurious at best, the pl effectively overplayed their hand because they had become so used to people just accepting whatever they said and accepting a slap on the wrist and they assumed that this would go the same way and they could go to the government look we can regulate ourselves.

They didnt anticipate any club outside of their favoured few saying no we arent going to take it, you are wrong and we are going to be pushed around and now they are scrambling like crazy to find theyre way out of it while saving face and not pissing off the favoured few and i quite frankly dont think they can do it.

It ended at cas but premier clubs started the new Investigation not the premier
Spot-on. It was always driven by certain clubs who hold all the influence. No wonder three highly qualified candidates walked away from the PL CEO position and it ended up with Richard Masters. Who wants a job where you are just a puppet? It also clearly shows that football needs properly independent regulation (if it actually exists!). You can't allow a situation where a group of businesses can gang together to try and put their main commercial competitor out of business.

The pl must have significant evidence to charge us.

The pl have found that City broke 115 rules hence the charges or I am missing something ?
Significant enough not to do anything about it?

There was certainly significant accusatory pressure and rumour - but no actual hard evidence. I imagine they are wishing they never opened this one up.

We can be cleared of all charges, and any hint of wrongdoing. However, our haters, or even the neutrals wouldn't stop either screaming, or at best still muttering 'fix' or 'no smoke without fire' etc. And in that, the job of sullying our name and achievements is still done. Cnuts.
And when it happens I will just laugh in their faces and agree. That upsets them more.

Look at all these huge headlines about the rags and the possibility of failing FFP.
It's on every news bulletin, all the WhatsApp group on twitter are tweeting it, sky sports news have it as their main story...

As if.

Links to a palace player though are out there

That's the point though, isn't it? The leaked emails were the only evidence. Why start the investigation when UEFA had already done so, unless undue pressure was being put on them from the cartel?

That is a point. Will be interesting to see if that is discussed in front of the panel.
