PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Dissenting opinions weren't published, nor were details of who voted how. But it's a good guess that it was the "judge" chosen by UEFA who voted in their favour every time.

He also got one of his monkeys to write a piece in the German press about how the CAS award was completely wrong, iirc.

Presumably he likes being chosen by UEFA. You can't trust these bloody foreigners, of course.
I fear that the 100 percent PL chosen Panel may contain similar minded KCs.

Is this possible?

We saw exactly that during the Bennel Victims v MCFC case. That snake of the BBC, Dan Roan, he could not wait to stand on Ashton Néw Road with the club badge in clear view for viewers of the main news bulletins. That was during the hearing. When the club actually won, they didn't even mention the outcome once on the BBC, not once. NEGATIVE CITY STORY GOOD, POSITIVE CITY STORY, DROP IT....
They did the same with the Rui Pinto trial.

Just watching the typical city interview with Stefan. Interesting part for me
, Stefan mentions the following ' either the alleged fraud did not occur, or, the independent commission is not able to establish to the necessary legal standard that these things occurred'

and right there in that last part could be the PL get out of jail card statement and finding. It would find no charge (except for maybe non co-operation) but leave the red shirts and media to still say city are guilty but got off on a technicality once again

@KS55 - this a possibility maybe
I suppose anything is possible, but I think the PL will go to the bitter end, the redshirts will demand it.

His monkey said it was all his own work and that they didn’t even talk about it. Ha!

What happens if the pl drop the charges can City insist the case isnt dropped to prove how bent the pl is ?

Can you imagine the pl statement 'The pl didnt want to bring these charges but were blackmailed by the 3 red tops +1"
If the PL dropped the charges, there is no dispute for them to adjudicate. All into the pub. Nothing to stop us making a statement such as “Yah boo sucks to to you lot”.

The time limits are as much a part of the rules as any other provision. They are not a loophole, or a technicality, but rather the FFP rules (UEFAs own rules) being applied as they are written and known to all the parties at the outset.

There is no need for anyone to be remotely defensive about their application.
Especially if both sides interpret those rules incorrectly.

There's no illegality about it. Legal refers to UK Law. FFP/PSR refers to the PL's private members club "rules" which have no basis in UK Law, hence why they've shot themselves in the foot.

Obviously not. They are English. There is no corruption in the PL.

Actually, without being facetious, I honestly believe that. This is too high profile and too reputation building/ damaging to be influenced by personal prejudices, imho.

Maybe naïve, but that's just me. Not one for conspiracy theories, as you know.

1000018344.jpgIf Khaldoon is right regarding our evidence I dont see how a top KC can find against City without repercussions. But this is the PLs independent commission so who knows, remember UEFAs independent commission or whatever it was cloaked as banning us for two years.
The days just get better.;-)

At the end of the day, in the final analysis, when all is said and done, all other things being equal, it will all come out in the wash.
End thread.

CAS provided an adjudicator. City proposed one & UEFA the other, presumably to provide balance.

It was the Panel member proposed by UEFA who (surprise surprise) founded against us if memory serves me right.

However, it really shouldn't come as that much of a surprise because if the plank agreed with City, that'd be the end of his lucrative association with UEFA.
Last paragraph is cynical but true !

Spoke to a private practice solicitor recently who was responsible for helping draft some legislation a few years back, who told me the Parliamentary draftsmen are top class lawyers. Only seriousl smart graduates need apply. They have to be in the job for at least five years before they get directly involved in drafting legislation.

It’s a huge deal when you think about it!
An old colleague of mine helped draw up The Water Industry Act 1980. He worked for North West Water Authority as a solicitor. He was, as you say, seriously smart.

Our Irrefutable evidence is our accounts

The most powerful court in the world I.e. the US Supreme Court is riddled with political bias and back handers I.e. corruption. Given this three person Premier League commission is being hand picked by a senior figure with close links to one of our rivals and can operate on a balance of probability basis akin to VARs infamous “clear and obvious error” criteria, I think we are going to get screwed. The other factor is the popular consensus that we are already guilty hence there will be no clamour to support us if we are done over. The cartel want us gone and will do whatever it takes to get rid of us even if it damages them in the process.
