PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Of course - you might think that a City fan would say this, but.....

I find your post both confusing and confused.....

Confusing because....

Up front you say that you are not going to post an opinion on the main charges, and then the rest of your post........

Confused because,.......

Well most of it - but particularly your 2nd para - which is, IMO, utterly ill-thought through nonsense
“Not going to post an opinion” but go on to assume we are guilty. That’s some non-opinion. What do think if we are cleared of everything? How much will your club be paying us for the shite we’ve had to put up with? I would accept a nine figure sum off your club. You can afford it. You could sell another hotel, you bent bastards.
Where in that post do I say you are guilty of the main charges, ? Where have I posted a comment or an opinion of those main charges? I offer a comment on the Mancini issue and will repeat if what has been leaked is indeed correct then it will be down to a judgement call by the IC.

Surely you must grasp those minor issues such as Mancini or the image rights issue aren’t the ones that if proven will lead to massive points deductions, relegation or whatever.

As for the investment in the stadium I personally think with the owners having said from the off that there’s nothing to see here re the charges not to have continued with that investment would be read as strange and the press narrative would not be a positive You clearly don’t see it that way but I would have taken a bet how the wider footballing community would have read such a withdraw

In terms of what happens if as most on here expect all charges are found not proven I doubt that City will pursue the matter of reputational damage, I might be wrong but we will have to wait and see so I very much doubt the problem comes if the charges are indeed proven.

As for selling a hotel no more of them left but if you fancy a Kings Road Penthouse sure we could do a deal

It’s 95% scripted. They presenters just read off an autocue.

Troy Deeney walked after a couple of weeks refusing to be the stooge reading scripted sensationalised bollocks painted as opinion.in reality he wasn’t allowed to have his own opinion.

Agbonlahoor and Ohara now play the idiots reading off scripts.

All bullshit
Exactly the same on the politics front, it's regularly being exposed now. The other week Ed Balls reading off the autocue and regurgitating the shite he's hearing down his earpiece. I mean ffs, Ed Balls, thick as two short planks.

There are very few of us that think we will get off all the charges, but i expect what ever charge they do pin on us ( we all have our favorite ) to be vastly less in cost, than the cost of the 115 case before it went to the panel, would be interesting knowing what the cost is so far:). You can keep your dirty mag, we have the Maine road Hustler.

Yeah quite possibly, Madrid was at least an attractive option.

The biggest impact though with the charges is perception - making us less attractive to potential sponsors, players and fans.

It's a really hard one to quantify, but if Rice had the option of moving to united when they were at their best, maybe 25 years ago, do we think he'd have chosen a team who'd won fuck all for years ahead of them, just because they were based in London? Wouldn't happen. The press would have been leading him north from the start, praising both him and the club for the move.

We've been shat on for years now. Some players may ignore all that, but I'm sure some along the line have done.
Cardiff are suing Nantes for £120m arguing that if they has Sala playing for them, they would have stayed up.
Don't think they'll get anywhere with it.
However, if we do win the main case, it does open up the possibility that we can point to players who could have joined and say not signing them because of the ongoing case cost us winning a champions league and trying to sue based on that.

I reckon our lawyers will need a rest by then...

You don't know that.

There's every chance that the constant drip, drip, drip of bad media over the past 16 years had some kind of impact in their thinking. That's before we even think about the possible impact of the charges.

The alternative situation would have been that we'd been praised to high heaven over this time and looked up to for what we are - the best club in the country, if not the world. Players should be desperate to join us.
I think it seems a bit naive by some to assume these charges had no impact on our appeal to some (not all) of our potential transfer targets. Why wouldn't players include that in their consideration when deciding which club to join? Because our guys say "dont worry about it"? I'm not saying we cant attract players or that no one would join but if a player has several top clubs as options it could definitely be considered as a risk that swings it in another clubs favor.

Cant wait until this is finally over.

Minor charges only if any. Admin fine only as no competitive advantage shown.

A big reach.

Bit classless by Cardiff.

A bit unfair. He has generally stayed out of the thread unless he has a point to make. I think he is wrong about the new stand, though.
When he first joined he was a lot more up front with his views, he was called out on it and disappeared for a bit.

Since he has come back, he is more measured in not being so open with his real views, make no mistake, he is just another waiting patiently for City to get fucked by the PL.

Mansoor should buy out the pl. If we can have the Emirates fa cup then no problem with the Etihad premiership ;-)
The Premier League decided that they wouldn’t have a title sponsor, after the Barclays deal expired, as it could conflict any sponsor that one of the members could recruit eg. Barclays conflict the scousers money laundering bank sponsors Also Mansour doesn’t have any business interest Etihad

Thankyou for taking my suggestion so seriously
