PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Villa, Brighton, Bournemouth.

They might not have had consistency in terms of getting results over the course of the season but they were all capable of playing more fluid, incisive, energetic football than our pedestrian relentless passing game which achieved results by just wearing teams down.

In our defence virtually every team we faced simply parked the bus, which could be used as an excuse for our style of play, but it doesn't change the fact that there were teams playing more incisive football than us throughout the season.
Strange analogy given that we scored more goals than every other team and conceded less than them all, bar Arsenal.
I suppose you can’t please all of the people all of the time….

I have a mate that has been going for over 50 years home and away and he was arguing with me about Pep and the style of football we play, he also said that he should gone years ago. When I pointed out all his achievements he replied that he's only here because of what he has won with us, which is a strange answe to say the least, he even stated that even in the treble winning season we only played well once against Real Madrid. When I said that we were brilliant against ushited at home, Arsenal home and away, Liverpool at home and Bayern Munich at home he didn't reply. I suppose I must be mad to think that Pep has been the best manager we've ever had.

Tell him there are some pills he could take for remarks like that haha

I don’t think Everton was a million but I’d expect a million pages in the trial bundle in PL v City.
The Everton case examined 40,000 evidential documents, so perhaps it was a million pages. There was definitely a 1m figure going around in some fashion with the Everton case

someone is coming out of this looking really really bad and I don't believe it's going to be us, the PL brand is fucked after this and it's going to be exposed for what it is which is a cartel enabling civilian quango.

This is the Premier League which intentionally or unintentionally ran an illegal rule book. How did their lawyers not flag this up when they originally put together the associated party rules? They’ve had Leicester run rings round them as well and Everton got their initial sanction reduced. I know who I’d have my money on who’s wrong here.

Definitely " wrong 'uns " looking after the interest of the crooks collective in the yank cabal.

Again if you want to just rely on bare statistics and league positions to take into account then fair enough.

But on the more subjective point of just how entertaining our football was I still say those teams were all capable of playing with more flair and fluidity and excitement for their fans and neutrals.

Based on the quality and standard of their football the rags haven't deserved to even be in top half of the table for the last few seasons, in fact probably not ever since the pisscan left, and yet they've still managed to finish in the European spots most years and win a couple of domestic trophies.

The yanks see the PL as an incumbrance to their ultimate plans to revive the ESL and expand it to a transatlantic version which will earn squillions in tv revenues.
They are steering the PL onto the rocks, then it’s a simple separation declaring the unfitness and incompetence of the said body and off they go handing out the invites to the biggest party in town.
There will be no need to wait for ours.

Pinto was found guilty.
He was indicted in July 2023 on 377 new charges, primarily related to unauthorized access to emails from S.L. Benfica and information connected to Cristiano Ronaldo's rape case. The upcoming trial could further complicate his legal situation, following his earlier suspended sentence of four years. Rui Pinto's "get out of jail card" is if the court chooses to view him as a whistleblower rather than a criminal, which will be more difficult this time. It is highly likely that he has shared everything he has on Manchester City with the Premier League.

After my wobble last night, I would like to apologise if some on here thought it was over the top and heavy
I am having the rest from it all and stepping back from posting and I will log out.

So first I would like to wish everybody a Happy Christmas and a great New Year.

He won't have had anything that isn't on the club's own servers and which the PL could have access to anyway.

It would also be a strange case of affairs if, after being found guilty of hacking and extortion, he had any further access to information to share with the PL.

I doubt there is anything new to fear from Pinto.
