I think we were all surprised when City actually said enough .was enough.
Fans said great, the media said how dare you.
My thoughts are we have given them enough rope to hang themselves then acted but the PL and the red clubs still keep giving us ammunition feeling they are above the UK law.

Stefan is great for this forum because he sticks to the facts and mostly leaves the speculation to everyone else. He is a lawyer and like most lawyers he is cautious. It doesn’t mean there is no place for informed speculation. Lots of people have good sources at the club, other clubs, in the media, even within bodies like UEFA and the FA. Bluemoon has proved to be very accurate as a crowdsourcing tool over the years. The information on here has been much more accurate than any media outlets.

Nobody seems to mention that it took the PL 4 years to compile and review their evidence against us before charging us . charging us could potentially set the club back 20 years and taint our success
Therefore we have in my opinion at least 4 years to review and consider our defence
Lastly what’s this paddy power Colleen Rooney give back the bets stuff all about
We should be all over that and shut it down
How can we get a fair trial/ hearing when stuff like that is punted out
I don’t gamble so I’m not sure if there is any paddy power stuff in the stadium but if so get it taken down and ban them
A few lawyers stood outside the ground is funny and so are some of their other adverts but paying back stake money over 10 years on clubs we beat is scandalous

Patel wrote one of the worst analyses of the Everton case before the appeal I’ve seen. It was totally wrong.

The way cases like this work, there would be no big surprises. The PL will have been well aware of the scale and quality of City’s legal team, the arguments articulated in detail in correspondence before the “trial” and witness statements set out and swapped weeks before kick off. Then written openings swapped in the week or so before. So I’d say there was almost no chance of anyone being taken aback.
 
I want city to say to masters yeah ok we're guilty, good luck paying out lost revenue to clubs who have been relegated and promoted under false pretense for the last whatever seasons you think we've cheated, good luck rearranging the league placings and standings, we'll just take a back seat and watch everything implode.

I stand corrected.

I'd never heard of him before but I hope he is right and we have loads of dirt against the PL and the Redshirts.

There was talk in the early days of this sorry saga that we had employed the football is fixed guy to help uncover shady goings on at the PL and its puppet-masters.

There was a point though when they found out the legal team we had put together, when they found out the irrefutable evidence we had, or when they realised we were going for the jugular on APT. I do hope at some point they realised we were not going to lie back and take it.

Would you trust them to draw a line under it? I wouldn’t. If we get our foot on their throat I suggest we make them suffer.
 
I can't see the PL or panel being surprised by City's defence. I can see our defence and polemics being robust and detailed. I just dont see highly qualified individuals being taken by surprise.

He still regularly drops hints on his blog that he has information for the club.

He knows very well about the corruption.

One I've thought about for a few years is the so called 'random' generator for PL fixtures. Goes on to infer that harder games are scheduled for certain, but not all teams after European mid weeks. A pattern I noticed a few years ago...

Np. I just thought it was interesting if it was a developing narrative. If Maguire was involved it would support the narrative. If it was just Patel's opinion then it can be quickly discounted, I think. He doesn't seem very .... sharp.

As much as I like to give them stick, I prefer cautious, calculating lawyers to shoot from the hip lawyers :)

The idea of eminent professionals in their field being surprised is beyond ridiculous.

What this is, is the start of the “they were guilty but we just didn’t have as good as lawyers as them so city won” nonsense they’ll trot out when we twat them all over the pub.
