Platt doing press interviews

Does anyone know why it always seems to be Platt doing the stand in press conferences for Mancini rather than Kidd? Just asking out of curiosity, as I would have normally thought the assistant manager would do them, not the 1st team coach.

I would guess that Platt is more "media savvy" having worked for Sky in the past. Alternatively maybe Kiddo just doesn't like doing them?

I have seen interviews with both after the QPR game.I thought Mancini was classic and got all his standard responses out quite brilliantly.Some of them more than once.

As for Platt I actually thinks he gives a good controlled interview whether before after or even during games.

I love Kidd to bits but have you heard him being interviewed?

Platt is excellent at it.

Platt is fluent in dealing with the media but IMO there's something a little bit greasy about him . . . from a personal perspective I'd much rather have Roberto representing us and if he needs to leave it to someone else, once in a while, then please put Kiddo in front of the camera. Even on a bad day, Kiddo's the kind of guy that everyone warms to. Proper Manchester lad, salt of the earth and well respected by all.

Platt? Well if it were announced that he were the next messiah I'd still cross the road if I saw him coming towards me. . . Might just be me but he gives me the creeps.

Kidd is simply not good at interviews while Platt is very good..

That's the impression I get as well. Presumably RM has gone back to Itakly to see his father then? He goes at every international break.
