Firstly fans slaggin off players. If its not Robinho its Ade if its not Ade its Toure and so on I've said my fair share of things about Shauny on a Robinho thread only to compare them both and show fans of the typical player favouritism most fans show.

If Robbie plays shit its a waste of £32M but if Shauny plays shit its ok cause we made a £12M profit on him and he was a quality star before his Chelsea days???? Doesn't matter how much a player costs be it £3M or £30M there all professionals and get paid a wage a week that 90% of the working class people would be lucky to earn annualy.

I've heard people call Toure, Kolo the clown??? I'm a season card holder and everytime I've seen Toure play I can't seem to wonder why he's got this name? OK fair enough he has made mistakes but only like what Kompany, Lescott, Zabeleta and Bridge have made for us and Vidic and Ferdinand for United and none of these mistakes are as worse as Dunne's when he use to play for us.

Everytime I've seen Toure he's strong wins the ball in the air and is quick as well, whether or not it's a captin thing cause he's captin we expect a bit more discipline? But what really gets to me is when fans say "we shouldn't of got rid of Dunne" or "Dunnie would be rock solid at the back for us now" Bollocks his last 2 years he was shocking making daft mistakes not every now and again but every pissin week, I remember sat in the stands and everyone saying "we need to get rid of him he's shit" and now we want him back I think Kolo is far better a player then Dunnie and did so when he was at Arsenal and still do now.

Yeah OK there are better defenders out there in the world I'm not saying he's world class but ya don't go from Average City to World Class we've improved in two seasons (league table proves it).

I just feel as fans we're taking this money of ours for granted any player we don't like we just think get rid buy someone new thats really not the attitude we should have we're sort of getting that smug/cocky attitude and the one thing I loved about being a City fan was no matter how poor a player was doing we always got behind them but now that just seems to be fading away.

As long as I've been a fan that's never been true. Holden, Edghill, even Goater springs to mind.

And one of them made it into City's hall of fame, havig said that Holden I slightly recall hearing my dad curse his name (I was only a kid then) from what I recall about Edghill he was hit and mss nothing he ever did stuck in my mind apart from scoring one of the penalty's at Wembely :)

very true, goater took some shocking abuse. edghill at home to coventry got booed off in tears in prem under joe royle. kernaghan, summerbee (deserved), bradbury, pollock, clough, all have suffered to my knowledge. all clubs have boo boys. o'shea at united, eboue at arsenal, lucas at liverpool.

now this adam johnson jokester has really started to piss me off...........

garry cook will be in on that.

I prefer Kompany and Lescott to Toure, Toure makes the back four look shakey but on the plus side he's fantastic going forward. I'd rather see Kolo playing as a sweeper than have De Jong as a "defensive midfielder". I know even the players I don't rate have their positive attributes but there's always an alternative already at the club.
