POTM has a nice ring to it, I like it. I am also hoping they get to change the WorldCup to the World title, the "cup" in worldcup reminds me of cup sizes, precisely double D's and that's just sexist. No place for that in the modern game!!!

Doesn't bother me that much either way tbh.

We lose some alliteration and a catchy name for an award.

Perhaps we gain a little bit of messaging to little girls seeing male players - ie. the most heavily publicised, televised and discussed footballers - winning awards that they can win too, building a little bit of aspiration.

I don't think it's a change that makes a huge difference. Certainly not worth getting worked up about.
