Player of the Year: KDB v Salah

KDB hasn’t been as consistent as Salah. Salah has been the stand out player.

As KdB has said, they are different players. Mo is just the player in the orchestra who has charge of the triangle. Salad just hangs about on the wing and chases stuff that gets booted up to him, bit of twinkle toes, and a shot, that invariably goes in, onside or offside, it won't matter to Mo or the Dipper Diaspora. KdB on the other hand is the conductor. Last night he was picking up balls as our last man, driving forward, coaxing, persuading, bringing players into the game, orchestrating, and taking on the lion's share of a team's output. The fact that he plays for MCFC and not LFC is one hurdle that he'll never leap!

Salah will win and he deserves it for the season he has had. Seems a decent guy as well, shame he plays for who he plays for.

Another meaningless accolade, would he sooner win that or have his team win a trophy ? Oh I forgot they have won the we beat Manchester City Trophy 3 times, sorry forgot about that

Salad has a much narrower remit within the Liverpool team than KdB has in ours. The expectation will be that KdB has to be perfect in every aspect of his game across a much wider range. But I stick by an earlier post - a red shirt will win PotS before anything else!

Kev's role requires him to cover considerably more of the pitch, and on a consistent basis. As a result, he has run out of steam a bit, and looks absolutely shagged out.

Salah is probably going to win it, and he has been outstanding so it won't be a travesty.

However, if you were to ask any player / manager / supporter which of the 2 they would want in their side, the overwhelming majority would want Kev.

Salah has been consistently good all season and will win it. I'm not sure Kevin is even our player of the season based on his last couple of months. Silva and Aguero are running him close for me.

I wanted to see who would own that tie, and Salah won it hands down, so has to be him. Kev hasn't really turned up the 2nd half of the season (bar Leicester), we need more from him and more consistency.
