Just heard interview with MP where he is asked about CB options for Wednesday, he mentions Demechilis, Sagna and Boyata (oh no!) as options but never mentions Nastasic at all.

As far as I know he's not injured - I thought he played well in the past and just don't understand why he isn't getting a look in even at times like this?

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

I don't think Pellegrini trusts him. Judging from his outings last season, I don't think he suits our high line system, typical Mancini system player. Still, I'd have him in earlier than Boyata.

May be deal is done for Jan and club doesnt want to risk him getting injured

Last season, he gave away too many silly fouls just outside of the box. Gets exposed woefully in high line system, isn't a front foot defender.

Id rather play my mother in law than Boyata!

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

A lack of bollocks and no character imo.

He was told he was surplus at the start of the season and he chose to sit on his fantastic contract instead of seeking football elsewhere,no sympathy for him here.

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

There was a rumour(I stress rumour) that he had hobbies akin to jack wilshire's.

It's obvious he's done, and th club have made every effort to distance themselves.

In unrelated news, I hear there's snow due soon.

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

Bluemoon in uproar that a very average player isn't being considered. Boyata no matter how bad some people think he is, has the right attitude. Nastasic has a poor attitude and is an average player

Re: Nastasic - just what is the problem?

It's disheartening for me to think just 18months ago he won our YPOTS, and was the best performing centre half in our team and the best performing teenage defender I'd ever seen in the Premier League.

The lad is only 21 now. So much potential ahead of him!

But sometimes your face just doesn't fit. And unfortunately he has been frozen out at City.

He will go on to be an elite centre half in his career and I'll be disappointed it won't be with us.

That's abolsute rubbish!

He's far from average and show me one example of him having a poor attitude...

I agree. I also think that the club was annoyed that he wouldn't agree to leave in the summer given our FFP restriction. We have to trust the manager on this.

Just as well we signed Mangala.....

There is none
Up to him if he wanted to move in the summer, if he doesn't fancy Everton or any other club who's been in contact with him, fair play

You know this for a fact do you? Maybe he wanted to fight for his place. Pellegrini is an absolute bellend in this instance.

That is complete and utter nonsense. From where I'm sitting Nastasic has been very professional after being effectively blacklisted from our squad, when he could have easily thrown his toys out the pram about not getting chances, clearly has no future at our club anymore which is a shame as he's got potential but we'll move on. As for Boyata...have you forgotten his brainless red card v Blackburn last year where he hacked down one of their players on the half-way line in frustration? Right attitude my arse.
