Seen all this "get rid of this player get rid of that" at the end of last season, we didnt listen to all that bollox and now we're flying high and Kolerov has been part of that. What is it now, did he have 1 bad game or something?

yep I've been well impressed since he arrived but he's had one bad game now so i want us to fuck him off, thats how i roll

No, he's been here for long enough for us all to see that he is simply not good enough. No knee-jerking whatsoever, just fair assessments of a player who has consistently been a substandard defender and a weak point whenever he plays. Lovely left foot though, but fuck all else to him as a player

its all about opinions mate, for me our left back is classed as a defender and i don't think he's a very good defender, thats my opinion and always has been

Fair enough but I like what he offers-its noticeable to me that he's worked at his defending. Shows a lot of passion too when many don't.

Norwich were good for their counters in the second half yesterday. They clearly targeted Kolarov's side to get behind and he attacks more naturally than Sagna. He didn't play well, but I didn't think he was too bad yesterday. A better player tactically, or the manager should change that when he notices it. But he's been ok/good this season.

The fact is most goals we concede come from our left. Opposition managers know this and whether it be Kola or Clichy they know well it is our weakness. It is a position that needs addressing long term.

I can't wait until we have a top drawer left back so that people will see how good the player will look as part of our system.

But he is part of our attacking talent. You may have spotted our full backs don't stand and hold hands with our centre backs. We are better than that.

Yet he's (almost) always the area of concern in defence. He is a defender first & foremost, and he doesn't defend very well. Call me silly but I prioritise defensive ability over offensive in the back 4 guys.

We have enough offensive ability in a front 6 of Dinho, Yaya, Sterling/Navas, Silva, KdB & Aguero to score plenty of goals, with Kolarov or with Clichy on the pitch - I favour Clichy as it's no secret which area of the pitch we're weaker in & I feel Clichy is far superior in that area, and still gets forward as an option anyway even if he's not able to produce Kolarov level or crossing.
(Saying this Clichy himself is also getting past it & LB is certainly a position I assume we're looking at for the Summer)

I also would argue his attacking ability is over rated anyway, his free kicks & crossing can't really be argued with - they are very good - but his actual ability to get into a crossing position is lacking, he can't dribble so he always tries that "knock it through the oppositions legs & run past them" tactic, which obviously fails if they aren't standing legs apart.

Aleks suits our style hence why bobby and mp like him

He is also part of the defence that has been so good for years except mp's first season

He is what he is a all the grinding of teeth and whinging won't change him,he has all the medals to prove he is not shit

Clichy is yet to come back then it will be assessed where we are

Can't belive the criticism of ak think he's having he's best season for us he doesn't get any cover of kdb/sterling also haven't people noticed he's defending from set plays he wins a big percentage of headers for us! People need to get off his back he would be hard to replace.
