Was excited when we signed this lad, off the back of 2 fantastic seasons at Arsenal. And for free.

But at the moment it looks like we overpaid for him. He may well come good in the next few weeks but until now he has failed to put in 1 satisfactory performance.

He's suffered massively from the fact he's not Pablo Zabaleta. Even when he's played alright he's been criticised for not doing more, as we're so used to seeing Zaba play at such a high-level both going forward and at the back.

That said he was awful tonight.

I thought he would have been a great buy but at the moment he looks like Richards with a fancier hair-do

No two ways about it, Sagna is a top-class player. True he hasn't performed at his best so far, but the season is still early and he is new. How can you expect someone to play amazing when they never play consecutive games. But rightly so Zaba should play more often. But Sagna will never get a rhythm of playing regularly which is bad for him. He can't be compared to Micah as he was constantly injured so at least we now have an ever-fit backup for Zaba!
