It was fantastic to see him with the captains armband. That was very well deserved.

I don't think it's any coincidence that KDB looked amazing last night because he was playing alongside our magical maestro, even though Merlin looked like he had school shoes on! On the other hand he could play in a pair of slippers and smoke a pipe, and still make the players around him looked great.

They were about to take him off last night and he wagged his finger and pointed at Navas, could have easily shirked the responsibility and got himself a rest after only just coming back from injury himself but knew his teammate had picked up a knock and took on the role of the organiser of the squad well.
