Will be disappointed if this guy starts over Denayer next season

I think he will be improve but 32 million is laughable, especially considering the fact he made constant mistakes for Porto last season. Would love to see the reasoning behind our transfer policy the last few seasons.

I'll be disappointed if he doesn't.

Would mean that we've blown our dough. Would much rather he comes good after a first year, dominates on the way to a league title and let Denayer take over for Vinny in a few years time.
Top clubs will be all over Denayer, don't want a Pogba situation happening. He should be given a chance to prove himself as soon as possible.

Can't see Vinny playing in the near future, so may as well get 6 games into him now.

Yep, definitely. Even if VK was not inured I'd drop him. He now talks a better game than he plays. If we want a club world wide ambassador fine but his place in the team is untenable in my opinion.

While MdM is not the answer he panics far less than the other defenders.

But overall feel sorry for them all as MP has set up a team that leaves the defence exposed time and time again.

The question for me is that Txiki identified two players we needed to help shore up the defence but Pellegrini then ignores both of them in effect saying I don't rate the two guys you bought me.

This is Pellegrini's downfall IMO.

If he was playing Fernando and Mangala and we were shipping in goals like we are now then he could make that argument. But when your defence is a shambles and you have over £40 million worth of defensive signings on the bench it doesn't bode well for him.

Demichelis is probably still first choice out of necessity; Mangala simply isn't good enough. He was on the field for 45 minutes yesterday and made a simple mistake that led to a goal, yet people want him to get a run of games.

He lacks the football intelligence to become a top-level centre back. Admittedly it's hasn't been an ideal time to be integrated into the team, but amid chaos at Everton this season John Stones' class has shone through.

For the money we spent, you want a Rolls Royce like Stones or Varane, not some muscle-bound Sakho substitute who's fee baffled regular watchers of Porto.

Nastasic was better for us than both Mangala and Demichelis.

They my have cost in excess of £40m but they aren't worth anywhere near that.

Wondered when you would show again with your pearls of wisdom. Why do you think we want to see Mangala given a run of games? Nastasic better that MDM and Mangala sort of gives your idendity away.

I said it in another post of mine....

that I´m not really sure, that mangala was 100% a player that Pellegrini wanted imperative to have.

It still sounds for me as a txiki sign.

As i think, Pelle would better have been more southamerican type of players.

Actually the man and defender to bring in was the ex-Real Mandrill, Ezequiel Garay.

Or else someone like Musacchio (Villareal) or Gonzalo Rodriguez (Fiorentina).

And some player like Isco, were lack of too.

As you can see in other Pelles former teams, they were more argies and southamerican there always involucrated in his sucess, imo.

Nastasic was a disaster in our current system. He may well have been better if we changed our style of play but you could say the same for Vinny, Demi and Mangala.

But he rates Navas. Only a fool would have played him in the last two games. Taxi please..,,...

do im the only one who had the feeling, that navas was playing way much better as the beast (negredo) was still in the squad??

he looks after his departure more lost and playing without confidence...

navas are like those tipical kind of players who shine, when the team are playing good as an unit and work. but looks futile and mediocre if hes alone and have to carry the team on his own shoulders... what he cant, anyway...

Mangala needs to play - maybe he'll learn, he's in and out of the team playing with Kompany one week then DM the next - trouble with our club and fans like you is one or two bad games and we're showing them the door - If the attitudes right then maybe we should be giving players a chance AND DEVELOPING THEM as opposed to hanging our hats on lazy prima donna c*nts like Yaya and Nasri who haven't got the desire or stomach for a fight...
Mangala went from unbelievable signing after his debut to useless in many fans eyes ... A lot of teams had been tracking him before we bought him so just don't see how he can be useless, I've seen good and bad in him but he's young.....

LETS GET STONE AND PAY SILLY MONEY AND THEN AND WHEN HE MAKES A FEW MISTAKES WE CAN SAY HE'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH AS WELL AND SELL HIM FOR A DISCOUNT PRICE....
