One on one, it should usually be in the striker's favour.
Two or three stops was it, he made? Far in excess of anything Cech had to do, so comparing them is dumb in the extreme, just like all the people who dribbled that Butland was the better keeper because Stoke beat City 2-0. As great arguments go, it's an absolute doozy.

He has been our player of the season for me and had Jack Butland not had an outstanding season so far Joe would be getting more praise in the media than he currently is.

He has kept our title dream alive in my opinion.

Had he not performed as he did against Gladbach away as well maybe top spot in the Champions League group probably wouldn't have happened.

Awful, isn't he? I remember him being utterly awful in Barcelona earlier this year.

One poster was of the opinion Joe should have saved Walcott's shot. Needs reminding that it is not as easy as on their Xbox.
Unbelievable!

Have had a few days to think on the Arsenal result, I was there and I've watched the highlights/analysis etc.

I'm sorry to say that this isn't the first time I personally feel Joe Hart has let us down. The Walcott goal was a great strike don't get me wrong but Joe wasn't even close to it he could've stuck it in the middle of the goal practically and Hart wouldn't have got there. The second goal is completely inexcusable for a top quality goalkeeper, to be beaten at your near post through your legs nonetheless is something you don't see the world class goalkeepers suffer.

He has had some good games for us don't get me wrong and he has saved us on a couple of occasions, but he just isn't consistent enough for me. He has very little to do for most of our home games but still gets beaten far too often. The defence can be blamed aswell in this but when the back line is breached Joe is more often than not beaten. On top of this his kicking is some of the worst I've seen from any goalkeeper never mind the premier league.

I fear that we have all been brainwashed by the hype that surrounds him from English football fans. We are so desperate to have a good English goalkeeper than we've turned hart into this deity that can't do wrong. If he were French, German etc I don't think he would have got away with the amount of poor keeping he has. Because of this we will most probably be stuck with him for the next 10 years.

As I've mentioned he hasn't consistently been bad but he's not been consistently good enough for the ambitions we have as a club now.

Hart is underrated because he's English, not the opposite. Have you seen some of the goals De Gea and Lloris have conceded recently?

Please define consistency, because for 18 months now he's been making game defining saves on a weekly basis.

absolutely agreed ! I think the fact that he is English - he is very under appreciated. think the mentality is we shouldn't praise him too much .

If he's beaten through his legs then he's not beaten at his near post
