I think a lot of the posters on this thread are immediate relatives of Shay Given to be honest.
Don't post on here very often but attend every game home and away.
Have had a few days to think on the Arsenal result, I was there and I've watched the highlights/analysis etc.
I'm sorry to say that this isn't the first time I personally feel Joe Hart has let us down. The Walcott goal was a great strike don't get me wrong but Joe wasn't even close to it he could've stuck it in the middle of the goal practically and Hart wouldn't have got there. The second goal is completely inexcusable for a top quality goalkeeper, to be beaten at your near post through your legs nonetheless is something you don't see the world class goalkeepers suffer.
He has had some good games for us don't get me wrong and he has saved us on a couple of occasions, but he just isn't consistent enough for me. He has very little to do for most of our home games but still gets beaten far too often. The defence can be blamed aswell in this but when the back line is breached Joe is more often than not beaten. On top of this his kicking is some of the worst I've seen from any goalkeeper never mind the premier league.
I fear that we have all been brainwashed by the hype that surrounds him from English football fans. We are so desperate to have a good English goalkeeper than we've turned hart into this deity that can't do wrong. If he were French, German etc I don't think he would have got away with the amount of poor keeping he has. Because of this we will most probably be stuck with him for the next 10 years.
As I've mentioned he hasn't consistently been bad but he's not been consistently good enough for the ambitions we have as a club now.
Thank god you don't post on here very often if that's the sort of shite you're gonna contribute.

Exactly. Hart is beyond reproach to a lot of his fans here even when it's clear that he is at fault for letting in the goals. Or they stay silent forgetting that he is paid a handsome sum, to be head and shoulder above an average GK, to prevent them.
The worst 'crime' is that they will extol his virtue incessantly, as a great stopper, and highlight this ability..to wit against Barca forgetting that we LOST because of him (poor distribution, passing, kicking skills, lack of positioning expected of a top GK) too.
And to add or heap insult to injury some of them , taking cues from the rags and their ilk or irksome scums, will scapegoat the rest of the team. To wit blaming viz Yaya or the others for not backtracking to repossess the ball when in the first place it was our GK who hoofed the ball and turnover (50%) to the opponents.
At the end of the day Hart is still a mercenary earning top wages and if he is not up to par we have to let him know!
"Never underestimate the power of simple minded fans in large numbers"
Go figure how many year/s will it take you to match his weekly wage.

I always knew you were a fucking rag. Calling Hart a mercenary? He's been at the club nearly 10 fucking years, he bleeds blue blood, he is the most passionate member of the team and cares about City a lot more than you do.
