I want to see Sterling use his pace and being more direct. He's one of those players that seems to better when the ball is played in front of him rather than to his feet. He's been good this season but he has so much more he can offer with more confidence. He's got the talent and trickery to be an excellent player but at the moment it's just not quite happening for him and he's making the wrong decisions. Having said that, he had a lot more of the ball than Walcott did and managed to do a lot more with it. Walcott scored but barely got the ball and England did little up the right hand side. When Sterling switched late on, he got into the right position to score.
With Aguero and Silva out, we have to look at how we're likely to score. De Bruyne can pull the strings in the middle and is a threat at goal from that position, but Bony is excellent in the air and De Bruyne is our best crosser so I'd have him wide with Sterling in the central role (using Nasri otherwise).
