He is adjusting to not diving for a living as mentored by the starfish himself. Slowly but surely Silva will reeducate him.

Great signing even if playing within himself atm.

A bit harsh, under Rodgers Liverpool have been a good footballing side.
I think it's a fair comment, while he was there the aim was always top 4, and Rodgers has been about direct football and encouraging risk taking etc, as opposed to expecting to dominate possession like at City.

You can see the balance he gives the team, brilliant on the counter, something we utilised very well today. Never stopped running and gave Kolarov decent cover. Top signing.

Gives us better balance, he has that x-factor and unpredictable we needed. Very direct and quick, just gets the ball and his first thought is to run at the defender.. love it !

We've been crying out for someone who can run at players with pace and take them on. He's taking time to adjust to our style of play, but it's already obvious that he improves us considerably.

Played well today - Gave us a whole new dimension. The speed of his tracking back also makes our left back much more secure.

Our style of play will make him a better player. He's playing with some of the best technical footballers around, so those 1 and 2 touch link ups around the box are something he wouldn't have been involved in before. He will take time to adjust but when he does he will be even better. He was a bit timid in that respect today.

Saying that, he brings something totally different and that is directness/pace and the ability to beat a man. 3 or 4 times he skinned Ivanovic today and that is something we couldn't offer last season.

He will become a great player for us.

Completely agree ... plus unlike Liverpool, Sterling doesnt have to do everything himself. Will take him time to adapt to the way we play and that passing is just as lethal as sprinting pass people. He has the time to develop ... not arsed about him scoring wonder goals, but being a threat and a great assister and contributor to the team.
