No point in holding him back. Impact injury this time rather than a ligament or muscle injury
I think we have to just control his comeback a bit better this time. I think last 20 against Arsenal after 3 days training in pretty much 2 months is about right. We have a lot of huge games over the next 2/3 months and Arsenal away with or without Kun could well end in defeat.

Yeah, I realised that after I'd posted :-/

He was being eased in following his injury at the World Cup when he made them sub appearances in consecutive games against Newcastle and Liverpool , so yes I think it's fair to say that they both count as returning from injury.

I've gone through Pablo's post and the stats all check out.

So if he scores in two consecutive games after comeback it counts as two successful come backs, but if he fails to score in 5 games it counts as one unsuccessful come back?

I think most players stats would look given that happy clappy gerrymandering.

If that's true (and why would they lie about something that would be relatively easy to check), it's a staggering (and depressing) stat. Comfortably less than 50% of games completed.

Because we sub him a lot. No big issue.

In a lot of those games though, he would have been taken off five or ten mins before the end, when we were 4 or 5 up....remember those days?

He had to get minutes if we want him up to speed. Expected some rustiness which there was but there were also some good signs from him.
Can't give him a hard time for tonight.
