Re: Bony Transfer. Rodney Marsh again?

Why did we buy Bony if not to play him against Barcelona, and in the Premiership matches.

Now it's almost March and he has yet to start a game for us.

Maybe just a coincidence that we had our worst run of results in 4 years after this signing and I am wondering how much is coincidence and how much cause and effect. I can't imagine it did much for the morale of Jovetic and Dzeko who were key players whilst Aguero was recovering from injury.

We knew the fixture list and the timing of the BArcelona game. Perhaps this is a signing that should have been done in the Summer.

I'm actually starting to wonder whether you're a WUM installed by one of the Mods

Surely no real person can come out with the stuff that you come out with

He's been available for 2 matches and has featured off the bench in both, it's called 'easing him in'. Exactly as we did with Aguero and Negredo when they joined. Our worst run of results in 4 years came at a time when Bony was unavailable, along with Dzeko, so I don't see where you're getting that from.

Oh Marvin! Marvin, Marvin, Marvin *Shakes head*

Though you're right it should of been done in the summer when his contract had a clause of £19m.

I still think him and Kun will be great together if given time to build an understanding.

When Chelsea opted to buy Torres in January it cost them massively. As we all know Aguero come available in the summer of that year. I hope the same doesn't happen here.

For me Bony just looks so slow and his movement is very awkward, but I have always thought that about him.

He won't get a time as long as Dzeko is playing well, and in last 3 games if not best, Edin was one of our best players.

And that should stay like that. I don't care how much was he paid, he shouldn't get a time over Dzeko for a sake of it.

Bony, you are in in the 70th minute. Press the damn ball!! Don't watch Barca players pass it around and don't watch Liverpool players pass it around!!!! And for goodness sake, trap the damn ball. That is what you are supposed to be good at!!!! Still looking forward to you banging in goals for us.

Completely agree. Dzecko has been playing well and scoring in the last 3 games, he should keep his place for the game on Wednesday

I am a fan of Bony but signing him has achieved what?

Alienated two players who were key and we don't start him so what's the point? We'll end up losing a lot of money on Jovetic in the Summer, and probably lost games and points as well.

Not much forethought going into the football management at City at the moment.

I just hope he will score 4-5 goals. Probably against lesser PL teams but at least get 4-5 goals and move on to next season.

Is he just what we needed and is the Aguero-Bony duo something that will make PL defences cry? Well we will see. I dont think he is that much upgrade on Dzeko.

I mean put Dzeko into Swansea let him play 35 games out of 38 be their main striker and I am sure he will score around 20 goals a season. Especially if they play to his strengths and use him in the box unlike us sometimes on left/right, coming deeper.

Bony will get first team chances at City, probably Leicester/Burnley games already. Perfect games to get his goals if we play any good.
