An upgrade on Dzeko in my opinion. He doesn't go hiding when things go wrong, better first touch, better hold up play, better in the air.

Dzeko has the odd good game but his head drops far too easily. It could be argued Bony is of similar ability but he has a far better attitude.

I find it staggering that some on here are already writing him off.

One of our issues is that too many of our players are rabbits in headlights in front of goal. Brilliant players who lose all composure as soon as an opportunity presents itself. Silva is arguably the most polarized example. Best player on the park for 90 minutes, absolute fucking gash when faced with an open net (not always, obviously, but far too often this is true.)

Bony, for all his weaknesses is a goal scorer, a poacher. Someone whose abilities in pure footballing terms may not be that great, but who will reliably and consistently put the ball in the net. We need that, and once he gets going for us (let's hope it's soon) I think he will be great.

He needs a goal to kickstart his career with us. But it will come. Why not tomorrow night?

I agree. Give him a bit of time to settle in and we'll have a cracking player on our hands.

I agree that he isn't a technical striker like Aguero and Dzeko (who if he was a foot shorter would be seen in totally different terms based on his game), but he isn't the New Shaun Goater as some have made him out.

He's a decent player technically and has that ability to do the astonishing which is always valuable. In his natural game he's a goalscoring powerhouse.

Good replacement for Negredo in my opinion, like for like swap.

Have you thought of offering your experience to City as they obviously need someone with your insight as your obviously a highly rated talent spotter to draw those conclusions after such a short period of time.

Sadly, us mere mortals need to see someone play a game or two before drawing any conclusions.

Thankfully, we have you who can predict the future and save us all the time and effort watching him.
