I've never seen a striker play with his back to goal so much. He will never form a partnership with Aguero for many reasons.

It's like he was playing pivot in handball when he was young. Or futsal, he'd be good with that butt pivoting in futsal. But he does it as it is pretty much the only thing he is good at, he is strong as ironman and it's not easy for defender to come in front of him in such situations.

But out of that zero striking intelligence. Awful positioning, won't run into the channel if his life would depend on it, no pace or work rate whatsoever etc, etc.

Always knew this was going to be a bad idea buying him since he was at vitesse, not the world class striker we need at all..dzeko twice the player he is

One of Bonys shoe laces is better than that fucking lump Dzeko.

He just needs a run of games to get sharp which unfortunately he's not going to get in our system unless Aguero picks up a bad injury.

I'm also sick of us playing half fit players. Aguero should never have come on, Silva and Sterling still getting rid of slight knocks. I'd rather have had fucking Navas (and for me that's saying something!) and De Bruyne on instead as they're 100%.

What a srupid 2nd paragraph that is. "He needs a run of games" Just like Dzeko. The thing is neither are gonna knock Aguero off his perch. So dont use that crap excuse.

As an impact sub, and thats what Bony was bought for as he will never replace Aguero, Bony is nowhere near as good in that role as Dzeko was.

If you cant see that you should really go and get checked for cataracts

Hard to see what he brings as his work rate is poor and he has no pace. I think pace is a must for a cf in today's game especially the way we play. His anticipation was poor as well. Can only get better

Bollocks he's bang average.

There hasn't been one game that convinced me Bony is our answer to a 2nd striker. He plays like a man with nothing to prove.

Shame really but I'm in the opinion that we should let him go in January.

I can see well enough to know that you're one of the many Dzeko apologists out there. Dzeko didn't need a run of games he needed some fucking fire in his insipid belly and to find some fucks to give.

There ain't many good second strikers. Anyone good won't want to sit on the bench for Aguero. I guess even Bony didn't come for that, we were playing 4-4-2 then and he probably thought he'd play most of games when Dzeko leaves. That's why Dzeko was a gem in this team. Or little pea at Rags at times. Players willing to be a sub but ones capable to give you goals when used. In such situations the young talent is best you could look for and it looks Nacho could be the one.

If you highlight this (Dzeko is better than Bony) copy and then paste, that is all the help you need.

Im not a dzeko apologist, was the one who said we should sign him about 18months before we did when nobody knew fuck all about him.

But hey if you cant see the importance of his goals, and without checking, i bet he scored more than 2 in his first 15 appearances, then thats fine.

Bet you were one of those that used to say Bradbury needed a run of games too.

Apart from holding the ball up, which slows down our style of play and is basically infective, what does Bony do better than Dzeko?

I just don't see how he fits into our game style. He neither presses the defenders (which is an understatement), nor provides any sort of movement off the ball. People talk about how he needs to be played in a 4-4-2, but one of the main reasons we could play that to a semi-functional standard in 2013 was because of how well both Aguero and Negredo pressed from the front.
