I would imagine theres a really good chance that's what hes been promised. big contract out there when he finishes at us.
With us getting Poku in return I hope. The lad seems promising and could develop in a better league even if he just turns out to be a decent squad player.

I've said it before - it's UNinterested, not DISinterested. The latter means acting for others without wishing for any personal gain.

Do please listen to me when I tell you.

I imagine folks would listen if you were actually right. Disinterested has two meanings, one of which is synonymous with uninterested. So both can be used in this context.

I'm hoping he has a great year next year. I'm not expecting the lung busting runs to regularly appear, but I'm hoping he looks in better physical condition than he did last year (which I think rings true for a lot of our players).

If Yaya starts the first game of the new season in better physical condition than last year, then we will know he means business.

IF....
That's a key word. You said earlier that all he needs is a rest to prepare for the new season but as we see now, footballers have a summer international schedule to abide by and if our younger players, as seen with this dreadful Ireland game, are so shot to pieces, then what chance does Yaya have with his ageing legs?

Don't forget, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Robbie Keane are top players over there, it's a very poor standard.

Watched the 6-1 last night. Yaya was about two stone lighter than last season.

This MLS stuff is interesting, we are in the unique situation of being able to say 'play for us for another season or so and then we'll let you go to a league where you can still boss it and be paid a handsome wage for doing it' I imagine being New York is quite the attraction also. If we can get a transitional year from Yaya, where he doesn't start every match and gives us something like the form he had the season before last it'd have a huge impact for us.
