If yaya was out for a couple of month we'd struggle. No one in that team would do a better job

The problem is that yaya plays every game for 90 mins and for his age it's suicidal

Yesterday he was bad but not all the blame should go to him, especially when the likes of ota plays a killer pass to yaya who's marked by 3 players then loses the ball then all of a sudden it's all his fault.

He was knackered last night and you could tell. But the manager will play him against Norwich on sat

Yes i understand the willingness to be able to run, but as a CB he wouldnt be required to "try" and get up and down the pitch for 90mins as he is supposed to be doing now.

Hes big and strong and good in the air. Still quite pacey when it suits him. Hes a good passer and cool under pressure and Hes a good reader of the game and usually is a decent tackler.

"theoretically" he has all the attributes to be a decent CB in my humble opinion.

I have to disagree. He seriously lacks the mobility, tenacity, heading ability and timing in the tackle to make a decent CB. He'd be skinned by anyone except maybe Emile Heskey.

A deep-lying midfielder on the other hand...that's where his vision and superb passing range could still pay off for some time to come.

It's absolutely ridiculous that an experienced football manager should keep on playing him in games which are everyone knows are going to be played at a frenetic pace.

Thread after thread I have seen comments critical of other players. This has gone too far now. He is central to our team. When he lays he demands the ball our game goes through him. We have to move on or he'll take the whole team down with him.

The signs were there last season. And now they are flashing red and yet he still plays.

He needs a rest and should be told so for his own good. The weekend off would be a start.
That was actually a game he should have played in, but not last night. Had he been rested last night, the outcome would have probably been different and he would have been ready for Norwich.

We could not have mis-managed better had we tried.

Although the FA Cup does not seem to be a top priority, the team and squad for Saturday should tell us a lot about the thinking of MP for the remainder of the season.

No it wont because it's after a semi-final so it wont tell us anything. Next league game will
