This thread has been running for 91 pages now but I thought I would take a peek again. Cleavers and myself haven't always seen eye to eye on some subjects but I take my hat off to him on his post on this thread it is top notch. Toure is a true City legend,a giant and has often been the man to drag us through in big games or lift the team. The winner in the semi and the final of the FA cup,the breakthrough at Newcastle in the penultimate game of our title winning season and the through ball for Zabba to open the scoring against QPR. The equaliser against Sunderland when we had been dogshit in the League cup final that turned the game around.I could go on and on the man has been immense.

Gary Cook also said he was the one big player they signed that came for the project, that really believed in it and not just for the money. He is a legend and I hope he is at the club for life when he retires from playing in some capacity.

Our Owner has taken us to a place we could only have dreamed about a short time ago.

He has given us a team, that we as fans can quite rightly now compare with "that great team of the 60's-70'"s.

How many times can you say "thank you"? Many many times I say!!! So I want to thank our owner for all he has done.

Now lets get 3 points tomorrow.

Cmon man I don't follow those formations but I know he started a number of attacks and made a few bursting runs and because we had no out to out striker I'd say it was a fair mix of forward play and
deep positioning, that doesn't nullify the
rest of the post though that even when we had enough bodies, we got 'outpassed' especially in the first half and even our other midis would hardly close a player down or put in a tackle. But I guess it's easier and more convenient to adopt the
usual cliché that it's all mr. Xyz's fault. Even my previous post says that he was putting the effort in deep areas. There was indeed a lot of running from our players but little disruption of their play when they had the ball despite our numbers and that says it all for me.

Just shut the fuck up, if you have to start making things up in a debate you've already lost.

......oh and something else.

Yaya is idolised on the massive continent of Africa. His association with CITY could be very important in bringing young talent to the club.

AMBASSADOR TOURE .....one of the continents big beasts !!

Not at all mate. I think he is one of the greatest players to ever wear our shirt. Up there with the best including Colin the king. Personally I think he has more years to give yet, maybe not every game but he is still top draw. Then I'd be looking at finding him a role at the club. I've said before anybody who doesn't see him as a legend is a complete muppet and not worthy of being a blue.

Define legend before calling others muppets

Hey relax for a bit. You chose to pick on a point out of everything I said whilst ignoring the other ones that directly give credence to the main point I'm trying to communicate. And before I forget, I never made anything up. In that post, I said, he was 'supposed to be a number 10'. I
didn't say he played as a number
10 but that he was supposed to and that line of thought was informed by the way Yaya has been played in the past when we have 3 CMs on the pitch. And the fact that I stated in one of my earlier posts that Yaya played very deep only suggests that I
wasn't saying rubbish all along.
I'd be happy though if we agree to disagree on this

Ps: I just read my original post and can't believe I made some utterances. My sincere apologies for any that irked you

*smiles and extends right hand*

Haha, no worries pal!! ;)

Again not at his best, but one of the better performers. Made the goal himself, albeit with a chunk of luck.

Match winner.
