Game of thirds for him today:

First 30 minutes he was woeful.
Second 30 he was better but wasteful.
Last 30 he actually looked the Yaya we all know and love. Lucky with the goal but you often make your luck, as they say.

I do think some are glossing over the better part of the match were he was not particularly influential and looked slow in both movement and thought.

"Great game"?!. How can he? Swansea controlled the game and Yaya spent most of the game picking the ball off the central defenders. I think he is very lucky to be starting. Struggled to get to the pace of the game.

Great win. Poor performance by all bar Joe Hart

Deflected shot off Kelechi's arse aside, I thought it was another typical Yaya performance. Nowhere to be found when they had the ball, very slow with the ball most of the time, too much sideways and backwards for our supposed deep playmaker, not enough drive through the middle. But always the lurking capacity to do something gamechanging, just one or two bursts that show how much we need someone to burst from midfield on a more regular basis.

We are very, very easy to play against and he will always be a contributing factor to that. The bar for what is expected from him for a good performance has gotten so low now, it's a sign of both how great he used to be and how far he has fallen.
