Players Diving

Mateta and Hughes were embarrassing. Take them off the pitch for a 10 minute concussion assessment next time they want to pretend like they have been hit in the head with a bat.
It really really is the answer. For their own safety take them off, get them assessed, only then they come back on, and only that way will they stop faking head injuries

If Rico had dived over and rolled about holding his ankle and stayed down until he got some treatment perhaps VAR would have had a look? I wonder how that incident would have played out if we swap Lewis for Salah. Without a doubt the ref would have been instructed to go to the screen, yellow card rescinded and penalty to the dips. Do we want our players to go down that route though?

Has to be looked at. I agreed with the stoppages for head injuries as they can be really serious and every second counts but it's clear as day now its a gamesmanship tactic to exploit by certain clubs. Arsenal the worst offenders by a country mile.

I've seen more clear dives this season. Players who go past an opponent, take a couple of steps and then collapse to the ground. Refs award the free and the crowd at home watching the replay are seething at the stark staring bloody incompetence at applying the LotG. And nothing, of course, is done to rectify the problem and ban the diving bastards. Heaven forfend, it makes you think they have a preferred result with which to end the game.
Seems to be Rashford & Co. tactic every game

Bang on. Wrap the whole thing around a player's wellbeing and any other kind of bollocks. Anyone, absolutely anyone going down holding their head must leave the field for a full review and only allowed back on after the club doctor/physio speaks to the 4th official. However, I'm sure people will say this will stop people staying down for real head injuries - I'm not sure it would. Let's face it, this has built up over a good few years and pundits/commentators need to call them out on it.

Free kick seems to go to whoever screams in pain loudest.
