Perhaps just a feature of common letters in European languages, but we really do have a lot of players with a name starting with S,D, or M.

Sterling, Stones, Silva x2, Sergio, Sané
De Bruyne, Delph, Danilo, Diaz
Mendy, Ederson Moraes, Muric, Mahrez, Mangala (okay, straining a bit there...)

Wonder if there has ever been a top-flight side where all the players had a name starting with the same letter. Or any City sides with similar...

I remember when we had a lot of players names beginning with W

2 x Whitley’s
Wanchope
Weah
Wiekens
Weaver

And probably more that I can’t remember from that era
