Maybe if we had more English players we'd be doing alright eh? Harts saving his dives and saves for the world cup. get a grip mate. Theres no question they are, but all players at all clubs will be...just we have more international players than other clubs.

Think that's harsh. He looked way off the pace by his standards but he has been fit for about 3 weeks combined out of the last 4 months, it's hardly surprising that he found it difficult. We always used to allow players time to get match fit, now even after persistent injuries we seem to expect players to come straight back in in top form.

No. The whack Zabaleta took last night was absolutely shocking, as was the tackle on Aguero; both continued. We played poorly collectively but these are professionals, not shirkers.

Surely, for those not 100% guaranteed a WC spot, going on to win the PL would be the best way of furthering their selection chances?

This is legit question, I'm sure lot of players around Europe surely wouldn't like to miss World Cup due to injury or something like that..
Take Dzeko for example, Bosnia is first time on any big tournament and it's very probably Dzeko's last chance to play on World Cup, he definitely wouldn't like to miss that one.
Of course that ideally isn't excuse for not doing best for club that pays you a money but we don't live in ideal world.
