Players that we always used to get linked to but never signed...

Arthur Numan, Peter Reid chased him all summer and he ended up signing for Rangers. We ended up with Alfons Groenendijk instead.... I remember Reid describing his qualities and saying he could open a tin of peas with his left peg.
Might have been more useful if he could do something with a football with it instead.

Does anyone remember being linked to Arthor Numan ... The Dutch midfielder???

Jesus I remember reading it on ceefax. Just kept praying hope he would sign for us. Ended up staying at his Dutch club. Memories....
