Players who might improve us

Jacob Ramsey.
I always liked Jacob Ramsey. I think in the right hands he can turn into a very good midfielder. Feels he goes a little under the radar in the league.

...Unless you are just promoting his name because you are Dr Jacoby.

Saka and Odegaard - thats a lot of flexing, especially when you see how hard it is to sign top players from clubs in the mid section of the league. West Ham, Brighton all want 100m. Even Fulham want 80m for a 28 year old Palinha.

How comfortable would you feel paying 200m each for them? Because that's probably what it would require. Maybe more. Our owners own Walmart did you know?

I wasn’t being overly serious. We should have possibly looked at Saka when his contract negotiations were going on or when you were a bit shitter..

United routinely bought their rivals best players.
As City fans it’s get boring being told we just sign whoever we want when the evidence is so contradictory to that. So, I think it would be funny if we did just pay £300 million for the pair, as that’s what we are generally accused of doing. I think the phrase is May as we’ll be Hung as sheep as a lamb.

Its not FIFA mate, Arsenal will just laugh and say fuck off. Both are happy and have lots of years left and Arsenal are fine financially. Both would be world record fees before you even open negotiations.

I wasn’t being serious. Other clubs are spending World record fees though. And we’re just about the richest club in the World.

The only time Saka was being courted was when he was around 18 and hadn't yet signed pro terms with Arsenal. He was being chased by almost everyone and he could have been signed for next to nothing, with Arsenal only getting a tribunal fee had Saka decided to leave around late 2019. Of course this was when he was playing left back as a 18-year-old and looked a prospect and nothing more. If it was possible to look 4 years ahead I imagine the efforts to sign him would have been a frenzy given he would have been available for pretty much nothing.

It was actually Liverpool who were the closest to stealing him back in 2019.
