Players who might improve us

micheal keane looks a really good defender to me, ver good on the ball swell.id have him or ben gibson if we looking at english players
 
A couple of versatile, experienced defenders who would suit our style of play and could add great strength to our cause:
Benedikt Höwedes, Schalke
Kevin Grosskreutz, Free Agent
 
There's also a young talented Brazilian LB playing for Nice, fast as anything. Dalbert I think his name is.

He could be good for us as a squad player. Has the pace required and looked dangerous against us recently. The worrying point is that he has 0 goals and 0 assists this season in all competitions.

Same with Neymar.

It annoys me that the media don't link us with the very top stars even though it's bullshit. Because it perpetuates a myth that we're a smaller club, and couldn't splash out £86m on a striker if we actually wanted him. Image is important in this media led age, if Chelsea and the rags can attract and afford a player then we sure as hell can.

True, but then again Boro have hardly had any assists or scored any goals, so it's not much of a worry. He could be next year's Navas. :-)
 
Piotr Zielinski.

If we don't end up with Isco (for the umpteenth time) , I would like us to go for this lad. 22 y/o, 2 years younger than Isco, stats wise he has almost exactly been the same as Isco, but his defensive contribution has been better. A readymade free 8 for our system. He doesn't seem to have a weak foot, so that's a plus. His aerial contribution is decent for an AM. He is quick and deceptive, and his passing is top notch.
Definitely worth a punt.

Going by the paper talk of us signing Danny Rose for £50m, are there any players in the Championship that could potentially make the step up to us? Obviously there's a huge gulf in quality but we've seen the likes of Cresswell, Byram and Mings do half decent jobs for their clubs and become first team players after signing from the lower leagues. I'm sure Dortmund signed Weigl from the German second division too. Might be a more cost effective way of adding home grown players to our squad, granted they have the quality that we're looking for. Plus I'm sure they wouldn't mind playing second fiddle to some of our bigger names.

Charlie Taylor - Leeds (left back, 23)
They're having a decent go at promotion this season and he's registered 3 assists, pretty good defensively too.
Rico Henry - Brentford (left back, 19)
Pace, pace and pace. The boy is lightning quick and we were linked last season IIRC.
Ryan Sessegnon - Fulham (left back/winger, 16)
This is the boy who scored a hat trick a few weeks ago. He's made 24 appearances this season, scoring 6 goals and making 2 assists in those games. Looks like he's going to be some player but obviously he'd be one for the future.
Will Hughes - Derby (centre mid, 21)
He's got 2 goals and 3 assists this season in a struggling Derby side. He was touted as the next big thing a couple of seasons ago and I'm sure we were linked to him at the time. He's got a pass accuracy of 82.6% and has a great long ball on him. Might be an ideal pivot with Pep as his mentor. I'd prefer him to Wilshere anyway.
James Bree - Villa (right back, 18)
Signed for them in January, apparently a lot of PL clubs, us included, were in for him. Don't really know much about him TBH.
 
There is actually two Milinkovic-Savics'. One who is a midfielder is at Lazio and the other is a goalkeeper (who was on the rags books) and is joining Torino in the summer.
 
I was talking about the midfielder of Lazio, he's a very underestimated midfielder but is powerful complete and has an excellent technique, I think would be perfect as a replacement for fernando
