Players who might improve us

Real pleasure watching Griezmann during Barca's game tonight. Apart from the result, what a versatile player he is! Ofc we couldn't afford to buy him, unfortunately.
 
Kai Havertz is the only German player I would love to sign. He's such a threat in the final third with a lovely eye for goal.

Speaking of Germans, I think Jerome Boateng would be a pretty good signing for us next summer or even in January. Since Vinnie left we only have three centre backs. Sure, Dinho or Walker could do a job there or young Garcia could get some minutes but it's not ideal being in four competitions. Also, Laporte is class but competition is needed since Stones isn't quite there yet and keeps picking up injuries and Otamendi can't really be trusted for a longer period of time imo.

Boateng wouldn't be expensive since he's very much last at the pecking order at Bayern and the club very publicly want to sell him. He might have lost his pace but he's far from finished imo. He was Bayern's best defender in the run-in last season and his build-up play is second to none. On top of that he's a former City player and used to play for Pep as well who seemed to like him.

Loooooooool, 100% no. Old, injury-prone, maybe 3 years to finish his career. We need Koulibaly or Jose Maria Gimenez. In my opinion we should break our transfer record for WC defender like Koulibaly or JM Gimenez and real leader, coz in matches with big teams we are sloppy and dodgy and Txiki, Pep, Ferran and the rest have not drawn conclusions about defence after Liverpool game in 2018, which was completely disaster. And you are suggesting Boateng.........
 
All of you should understand that we need defender who CAN DEFEND and is fast, is a real athlete, and enough young to play for us a few seasons.

Complete disaster, same that same defence ended up contributing to nearly 200 points in two seasons and we have been comfortably up there with goals conceded and clean sheets.

Sack the lot.
