Ian Rush was touted for us when he played for Chester and Alan Oakes was the Chester manager. I think it was Malcolm Allison, bless him, that went to watch Rush and decided he wasn't good enough for us. I still have thr programme where that was reported. Oh, and I think we preferred Rhodri Giggs to Ryan Giggs.
