For me it’s Paul Stewart. An absolute bargain when we signed him from Blackpool for either 200k or 250k. His partnership with Imre Varadi flanked by David White and Paul Simpson was brilliant. We never saw the best of him and I was absolutely gutted when we sold him. He was a fantastic striker and one of my top 3 or 4 favourite players, to play for us.

I didn't see your message, but I went for Paul Stewart as well. Purchased for £200k, sold for £1.7m I think, 18 months later.

Remember it was a toss up, as to who we'd sign between Stewart and the lad who was banging em in at Northampton at the time
