What a strange thing we did.... Still can't get my head around it.

Fairly sure we didn't. We were in total control of that game at half-time, although I felt that failing to take our chances would possibly come back to haunt us. Whatever Wenger said, Arsenal were a different team second-half and we couldn't get near them. I don't think that's because we intentionally played for a draw.

If there's a criticism to be made about that game, it's that we thought that we had it won at the break, not that we played for a point.

There`s certainly been worse results than that this season.

On the other hand, IF we win the league by 1 point or by goal difference, it will have been a crucial point.

I don't think we did play for a draw, I think it was our season long problem of players not wanting to do the dirty work, and yes I mean by tracking back. Some members on here scoff at the suggestion that top players should "track back" , but without that desire to do so this season we have been put under pressure. Liverpool on sunday was the prime example, they swarmed forward, but if the move broke down there still seemed to be loads of red shirts back.

We didnt play for a draw they were just a better team in the second and easily could of went on and beat us

Loads on here were saying it was a good point. In reality a point did fuck all as either way we still went to Anfield knowing if we lost it would be out of our hands. No idea why Jovetic or Milner didn't play. Reminded me of when Mancini played for a draw in the 2010 - 2011 season.

We settled for a draw in the last 10-15 mins. Once Garcia came on for Nasri

Exactly, there's more than one way of looking at it.

If you look at Arsenal at home this season and Villa aside their second half's are much better than their first half's by and large not only in terms of possession but in terms of clear cut goal scoring chances and goals scored.

Against us it was no different .

They pace themselves and up the pace at which they move the ball in the second half and where they move it.

No different again v West Ham.

Won't always work of course but that's generally the way Arsene coaches.

Stay in the game in the first half and do the damage in the second.

Chelsea got a point. Liverpool got 0.

So if we don't win the league it won't be down to that game.
