Playing for their Future...

Yes, Zin Zimmer!!

Accurate; but who, besides Silva, Aguero and De Bruyne from the main players, are adaptable...?
Fernandinho for one. Mangala will be a sponge to learn, as will Delph, navas, Stirling. Think sagna, Zaba will be ok for another season. Not sure about kolorov, bony. Really don't know what pep will do for fernando. I don't expect massive number of transfers out. Maybe 2 or 3 in. What I do think is that he will give significant coaching on a team and 121 basis to the whole squad including our best youngsters and we will undoubtedly be surprised at some of the things he tries.

Winning the ball back quickly and pressing high has been a key strategy of his for along time wherever he goes, so I'd be suprised if he doesn't adopt that kind of style here which will mean a fair few ins and outs over the close season as some of our players certainly don't fit into that category

I don't think anyone knows what Pep will do. He has shown a penchant for wierdness.

We know he incessant about ball retention. We know he is incessant about immediate recovery. And we know he is intense about keeping shape until the final Third.

He is more detail oriented than most coaches. In that sense he is a bit like Van Gaal. But more focused on ball possesion than defensive solidity.

As for who he'll favor vs who is doomed, that's justs speculation based generally on who specific fans don't like.

Every player has as good a chance as any other to succeed in Pep's team.

The notion that players like Yaya, Nasri or Fernando are out shows more of individual fans bias than any relationship to any discernible history Pep has shown.

I bet the likes of Brahim Diaz and Erik Sarmiento can't wait to show Pep what they can do.

The players have apparently known for a month, and their form has improved over that time. I can't see this news impacting them in any significant way. People overstate the significance of this. Players are used to managers coming and going.

I agree DD but with some certainty over the manager the players will know if they don't finish the season well some of them with lucrative contracts even will be moved on.

In all aspects bar above the shoulders it has no impact all , the player can do only what he is capable of doing and none of them gain Messi like qualities all of a sudden regardless who is in charge but if I was a player and had more to give which I am sure all of them can this is the time starting tonight to do so.

Its not easy to move on players especially on long contracts but it can be done and I think it will be done under Pep who I suggest will be more hands on than MP as to who stays and who goes as would have been part of his charter in coming on in the first place.

Interesting times ahead in the next three years under Pep.

I'm not so sure Pep won't fancy Yaya - he's ten times the player he was at Barca

I can see Yaya adapting into the role Alonso plays in Munich - he has the range of passing and he's probably still more mobile

I bet Mr Nasri will hit the ground running, when he's fit. Or will he be another Haley Mills/Nigel Clough/Wayne Bridge wage thief

i hope to see the Nasri of Roma away, brave and fearless...and not the one in the defensive wall v utd at home...

His agent has been laying the groundwork for an exit this summer early; especially with his comments re. Pep.

That slimeball lays the groundwork every summer.

Unless Pep makes it explicitly clear that he doesn't see Yaya fitting into his plans I think he'll stay. Yaya has many strings to his bow and Pep's shrewd enough to find a way to fit him in to his system.

That slimeball speaks entirely for Yaya according to the player himself. If his agent can be seen as preparing his exit then what does it say for Yaya?

According to Seluk his own Grandfather could do what Pep has done, and again by all accounts he speaks with Yaya's authority.
