ok we are looking to raise about a grand if possible, a kind of "fighting fund" so that we can do some good stuff in the first few home games

ideas people want us to try and do are a "welcome champions" type display, could be thousand of blue and white foils and a special message being revealed. it could be a very large banner dropping down from one tier onto another. we would like to start off with something visual and set the tone for the new year, perhaps something with the 2 trophies on won last season.

we have been fundraising since the end of may. had about £500 in so far. out of that money had to be invested in badges which are being sold when people take memberships. they are £5 and including range of benefits including priority for any singing blocks we organise for cup games - details from mailing the1894group@yahoo.co.uk we have invested in 100 stick flags to sell at the first couple of home games to give us a bit of rolling cash flow, leaves a couple of hundred over.

other ideas would be having something large appear perhaps on pulleys like some of these groups abroad have done. there are a couple more large stick flags waiting to be funded, a large pablo zabaleta flag and one of the 68 team with the 3 trophies in front of them, the league, the fa cup and the charity shield.

there's a million things we'd like to do in truth these ideas are the tip of the iceberg. we want to do something every game again.

we are accepting one off donations from individuals, from people who want to set up direct debits even ! none of it will go to personal benefit. all goes on making things happen at home games. you can donate via paypal using the email address - the1894group@yahoo.co.uk or just mail it and we can provide bank co-ordinates for you to pay into

we are still selling the pellegrini "this charming man" tshirts. two ways of getting these. one is to go via this link - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1894-Group-Th ... 1205123412? - the other is to drop a mail to - merchandise1894@btinternet.com and you'll get a response

we will visit any supporters club in the uk and we will do what we can to make things better. you can favourite our webpage - http://www.1894group.co.uk- which takes you to our twitter our facebook and our app. we have 5.5k on twitter and 2.5k on facebook so that tends to be where we announce things in the main.

we will give updates during the summer on money raised and what we purchase for august

Lot of interest in the group, getting on for a 100 members now. Sign up for a fiver blues and you'll see the difference next season

what are 1894's plans with regards to the stadium expansion? Presumably this is the perfect opportunity for you to get really established. The improved acoustics of a top tier should help no end.
