OP- is this some kind of Clarkie? The atmosphere was shocking where I was. Admittedly I'd been moved from SS lower for the extra away fans, but L2 East Stand block 204 is like a church. There was one ripple of 'stand up if you love city' after the second goal, but most of this lot didn't join in and were mumbling about their view being obstructed. Bloke near me was told off for swearing because "ladies were present and if he wanted to use that kind of language he should leave." The person behind me kept bleating on about the goals being Panty's fault and Hart would have saved them.
As a general point, even though I was in the other half of the ground, heard plenty from the united fans until our second went in.
None of this surprised me, but don't go saying our support is great when it so clearly isn't. I would, however, like to nod to those either side of the away end who at least gave it a go, made out "we're having a party..." at one point, just wasn't able to join in for fear of offending the padded seat brigade.
