Hi all,
The podcast is returning on 12th August ahead of the new season - and we're asking for a little bit of help before the season kicks off.
The show has always been free to download - and that will ALWAYS remain the same. We're not going to start charging for content as we don't want to exclude people from being able to listen to the show. However, the show isn't free to run and since it's creation in 2009 it's been funded by the bank balances of both David Mooney and Sam Roscoe - and by a LOT of goodwill from friends, family and complete strangers.
We're asking if you'd now consider sponsoring the show (in dollars because the site is American). You can pay whatever you want a month - $1, $5, $10, $100 (that last one isn't to be taken seriously unless you're a lottery winner or millionaire and are desperately trying to give money away...) - and you'll be helping us to keep the high standards that we've already set.
We want to keep recording in the studio, with excellent guests and features - and without putting ads into the show, because ads are ugly and ad revenue ends up being chased for clicks. Not ideal.
Crucially, if you don't sponsor we're making the guarantee that you WON'T lose out. The content that we already produce will always be available.
However, there are some tiered rewards and for $5 or $10 a month (roughly $2.50, or roughly £1.80 a show for the top price), we'll be giving some extras that we record after the main show.
