"Patrick Vieira’s Under-19s are in the quarter-final of the Uefa Youth League and face a date with destiny when Benfica’s young guns come to Ewen Fields tomorrow (7pm). The Blues are opening the gates at Hyde FC free of charge to boost numbers and star man Marcos Lopes has issued a rallying call to fans ahead of the clash.

Gutted I'm not going to be able to get there as I'll be involved in something at work til early evening. Didn't realise when the game was til it was too late.

Benfica are an excellent team but our lads have impressed everybody in the tournament so far.

I'll tell you what. We might actually do it this year at youth level. Patrick Vieira winning the youth Champions League with players like Glendon, Lopes and Cole would be a major plus point for our club.
