Policing in the UK

What relevance does it have in this situation? The circumstances had absolutely nothing to do with him being black, the police officer was not motivated to shoot Chris because of his circumstance. The black community beating the drum and putting up Kaba as some sort of anti hero is not helping them.

There needs to be some acceptable within the community that the kid fucked up and paid the price, not blaiming someone else. I've also seen absolutely zero humility from the black community towards the police officer, who has been through 2 years of hell waiting for this trial and was named.

They don't care as they have nothing to lose really. Their son/brother/uncle is dead and I'd guess their legal fees are either state funded or being paid by a support group like BLM or similar. It's a shame they didn't put as much fight into turning the dead man away from the life of serious crime he chose to lead. Maybe they did try, we'll never know I guess.

The thing is if he hadn't been shot dead by the police, he would have been facing thirty plus years in prison once he was convicted of the shootings he carried out. That's why he was so desperate to get away. That was his best case scenario. A rival gang may of course have shot him dead in a revenge attack.

Personally I feel the deed is done its all over - the cop was cleared by a jury of his peers none of whom knew the dead man's past deeds until AFTER the verdict. Case closed.

Family and friends need to reflect upon what they knew about Chris Kaba's background, why they wanted it suppressed and how now upon its release just about all of their complaints fall into dust. To persist with a myth does the case and his memory no good.

Sgt Blake is best served now by just leaving it be. The media is full of "commentators" many of them ex-plod are happy to stick their oars in mostly to maintain their own profiles and get a few quid out of it. Despicable and self serving people who by keeping it alive do Blake a complete disservice

These low life criminals have zero respect or consideration for anything. They chose a lifestyle probably in the knowledge that it will ultimately lead to their demise in one form or another. I cannot show a micron of concern that this person is no longer around. There have been too many instances of some poor member of the public, including children, getting caught up as these cowards run amok in our communities. Good riddance.

I bet he wished he could but he now has the nightmare of internal stuff to cope with and whatever HR decide to do with him, because I doubt he will be back doing what he does for the rest of his career and I doubt he will be able to do any forward facing frontline police work again after this, he will be damaged

I agree but people like ex-cop Peter Blekesley bleating on TalkTV for a few quid does him no favours at all

Their legal fees 100% won’t be coming out of the legal aid budget, but some lawyers might be doing the work pro bono.
