Won't get called out on it though. Boils my piss no one ever (apart from Dawn Butler) seems to properly call him out on his bullshit, bridge-related or other.
Another white elephant not going ahead

The only plan to unite Britain and France was Churchill's in WW2. The Express is just fake news now.The Express gone full mental

EU's plan to 'wipe UK off the map' and merge England and France
THE EU was accused of trying to "wipe the UK off the map" when a plan to merge parts of England and France into a new region with its own flag was exposed by Tory ministers before Brexit.www.express.co.uk
Shortage corner...
Bus services will be cut. Not enough drivers. Driving tests well behind. Drivers leaving to work driving wagons (to replace EU drivers). And bus companies can't now recruit from EU.
Oh dear. Did no-one predict this?another pre-Brexit none - issue thats going to cripple us - all these wins !! Nothing was thought thru was it?

Analysis: The explosive Brexit spat that no one is talking about could slam the UK economy

What impact might Brexit have on enforcement?%%%%%
What impact might Brexit have on enforcement? ..... impact of a Brexit might be on the enforcement of judgments against defendants outside the UK.....hcegroup.co.uk
"The UK would also be reliant on the willingness of the EU to create new arrangements, such as accepting the UK under the Lugano Convention, or whether individual treaties would need to be signed"

But just look at the language used.... '' The shackles of regulation '' .... its this sort of language from the press that got us to Brexit.

I'm guessing the EU have made the calculation that a bit of short term pain for them would give them a long term gain by providing a boost for their own legal services industry. Now we are a third country and a competitor, through our own government's personal choice, they unsurprisingly seem to be taking the attitude that they won't do us any favours and are taking the opportunity to build up their own in house capability. Had our government not decided to implement Brexit in the way they have I'm sure things would have been different. The whole story is embarrassing for all concerned. The EU are punishing the UK for what they see as bad behaviour from the UK whilst at the same time also punishing their own citizens.
6 of one and half a dozen of the other. Unfortunately the supposed leaders on all sides are anything but. Where is spirit of Mo Mowlan when we need her, she’d have knocked heads together if she was still with us.
The simple fact is the EU are happy to wash their hands with the UK now. Once again the government have tried to flex their muscles but seem to have forgotten they are no longer the dogs bollocks they once were.I'm guessing the EU have made the calculation that a bit of short term pain for them would give them a long term gain by providing a boost for their own legal services industry. No it's not. Its embarrassing for us alone. The whole story is embarrassing for all concerned. The EU are punishing the UK for what they see as bad behaviour from the UK whilst at the same time also punishing their own citizens.

Just like our financial system we have given the EU an open goal to gain competitive advantage in legal services - and we are just supposed to hope they don't seize that opportunity.
Its pathetic. We literally shot ourselves in the foot. Why are the EU in any way culpable?
It will fuck everyone over but will fuck us over more. Bit like Brexit in general. How is it embarrassing for us alone? We’ve asked to join the EU commission has recommended that we should not be allowed. That is their choice but I’m struggling to understand why would this give a competitive advantage to the EU?
Respectfully I have to say au contraire…it will, at best, double down on legal costs as decisions under English law (the vast vast majority of commercial contracts) have to be contested/ratified by a recognised EU court. Individuals and small business will not be able to afford this doubling of litigation costs so they will no longer be able to hold multinational firms capable for their actions.
Who wins there exactly? Ah yeah the big firms and a few lawyers. Who loses? Everyone else; these are British citizens, EU citizens and small firms both here and in the EU. So really the very people that should expect their rights to be upheld are, in fact, being hung out to dry by the EU refusing to allow the UK entry to the Lugano Convention (albeit this recommendation has to be ratified by the member states). That the EU may be doing this as punishment for what they see as poor UK behaviour elsewhere is of little comfort to the people this most affects.
Of course you hold a different view and think this will only fuck the British over.
We made this mess and the brexiteer view is that someone else should fix it.Of course you hold a different view and think this will only fuck the British over.
