very tiresome how pundits or "commentators" as they like to be called are posting about politicians changing their mind......

Sturgeon - said she had enough in the tank then 4 months later resigned
Starmer supported Corbyn then after 2 reports kicked him out
Truss and Kwarteng decided they could buck the international markets - then they couldn't and quit
Johnson wrote a Yes and No article for Brexit then decided no

I mean - can you even choose between brands of toothpaste without being criticised these days lol

“Now I will tell you the answer It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power."
As they ALL say…

“We are different from the (parties) of the past in that we know what we are doing.”

Growing up politicians stood for change and to make a difference (whatever their party).
Now they stand for power and the 'benefits' of being in that position.
Basically they'll support anything that gets them votes.
In the States, it is anything they can use in campaign fundraising.

Almost unfettered capitalism (Money in politics) is killing democracy, and not just in the USA! It’s just a matter of which friends of the reigning autocrat are allowed to be the capitalists!

Couldn’t think of better words to describe this….
