There's plenty of boozers on Albert Rd leading to the ground. Not sure which are un-friendly though..

i used to go to uni in portsmouth and been down a few times with city, we always go to the guildhall walk. theres a weatherspoons and yates etc around there then you can get a taxi or 2 minute train to fratton to the ground. albert road is full of pubs aswell but a lot of them are very 'local'

I've always used The Shepherds Crook (link below) and you normally get a lot of City in there.
Situated about 5 min walk from the ground.
