Porto break

I was there but it was for a CL game about 12 years ago. I loved it and compared to other Cities visited for euro games found it very inexpensive.

Portugal isn’t an expensive country so you won’t need too much.

According to the cost of living index it is 25% cheaper than Manchester to live.

Go here for an evening meal and the "Fado":

Seriously. I was there last Sept. and ended up at both of these restaurants twice. They are both down by the water and are both excellent.
The wait at the second one is well worth it. Pop by during the day and ask for a reservation. They are both near where you take the river cruise.
Take the river cruise and go on the cable car up to the monastery. Open top, hop on hop off bus is great for getting around and seeing stuff. Lot's of great buildings to check out.

Went in August and it was probably my favourite city break. Like others have said really affordable for a major city and plenty to do too.
