An adaptation of the Possession rules of some club.

Most teams don’t worry about possession. Lots of English fans, and more annoyingly commentators, often mock it. "Tippy tappy" they call it, and accuse those who do it of trying to walk the ball into the net. But the truth is this, if you coallate the results of every team that have ever had over 65% of possession, you would find that their is a 90% or higher victory rate. Simply put, if you dominate possession, you wil seldom lose.

The logic of possession is twofold. Firstly, while you have the ball, the other team can’t score. You see, the main reason why Stoke scored today was simply because they had the ball.
You don't even need to have good tacklers, so long as you continue to possess the ball, you'd have little need for tackling, In essense ball possession is a defensive tactic. Literally, the goal should be to play keep away from the beginning

Second, when your team has the ball, the other team has to chase it, and that is exhausting. When the opponents win it back, they are often so tired that they surrender it again immediately. In other words, Possession begets more possession and eventually creates a virtuous cycle.

In other words we want to win 90% of the remaining games guaranteed, play our best passers on the field. Forget every other quality, and stick to the passers. We will come thru. Other wise we will crash.

Again, possession is nine-tenths of the game.

Goals win games. Always have always will.

Possession means fuck all if the end product isn't there.

End product:
Crosses = 1 player that can provide threatening crosses half of the time - Kolarov
Incisive passes = Silva, and Yaya. Possibly Pizarro but he hardly plays.
Shots = We don't shoot much. Not necesarilly a problem, but if you don't shoot, you don't score.

In all of my three end product categories, we come up short. Hence why we haven't been scoring many goals lately (especially away).

If I were an opposition manager, I could tell you which players to hassle to stop City from expressing itself on the pitch. Implementing it would be of course a different story.

they scored because they had a shot, then we had a shot and guess what ? we scored too !

It isnt really, Chelsea and United used to let Arsenal have possession when they were by far the best "passing " side in the league few seasons ago, they would aimlessly pass it round in front of their defence then the other team would run up the other end and score, its all about goals, doesnt matter how you get them

just love how you stole this line word by word from the post on "Barca Way" thread, lol

We pass too much in the final third and can't finish.

This has been the same every away game since West Brom.
